- In 1983 Alphachem established as an agent for 23 international companies producing Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals.
- In 1984 Alphachem Scientific office established to be in charge of studying the Egyptian market of pharmaceuticals in order to provide it with the needed pharmaceutical products at the best prices. In addition,
Alphachem Scientific office assists its producers and suppliers by making surveys and giving statistical reports showing how to compete with other competitors in the market.
- In 1994 Alphachem was involved in establishing AlphaChem Advanced Pharmaceutical Industries (ACAPI) an industrial entity supported with a
GMP manufacturing Facility to produce Pharmaceutical products, which Alphachem used to import previously.
- In 2011 AMOUN Holding bought 75% from ACAPI
- Starting form 2011, Alphachem changed its business strategies and develop new plans
to adapt with new variables of the market.

Dr. George Sabet Bassily
Born in 1950, and was graduated from Faculty of Medicine in 1974
In 1975 he joined Dr.Sarwat Sabet bassily (his brother) and worked with him in AMOUN scientific office, and he was participated closely
in finalizing contyracts wit foreign companies between AMOUN and the outside world.
In 1983 he established his own company, Alphachem, which was an Agent for International manufacturers producing pharmaceuticals and Chemicals, as well as being a Scientific Office at the same time.
Since 1991 untill 1995, he has beed a board member of AMOUN Pharmaceutical Industries.
In 1994 he established ACAPI his manufactirung Facility to produce generic pharmaceutical products.
Since 1994 untill 2010 he was Chairman of the Board and managing director for ACAPI Pharmaceuticals.
Since 1998 until 2010 he was Head of BADR city Investors Association.
